Learn more about the artworks on view with student-led tours that delve into the ideas and background behind our exhibitions. Free and open to the public; no registration required.

About the Tours

The Bell's student-led gallery tours provide visitors with an opportunity to explore our exhibitions through open-ended discussion and close looking exercises. Whether you are visiting us for the first time, or a repeat visitor to our space, these tours offer a new way to engage with The Bell and the artworks on view.

  • Tours run approximately 45 minutes. See below for the full Fall 2025 schedule.
  • All tours are free and open to everyone. RSVPs are appreciated but not required; drop-in attendees will always be welcome!
  • Tour groups will begin in the lobby outside of the gallery.

This semester, Brown and RISD students enrolled in the Brown Arts Institute class Curatorial Praxis: Caring for and Curating Indigenous Contemporary Art (taught by Dr. Thea Quiray Tagle, Associate Curator of The Bell/BAI) will present short talks on a variety of topics on select Wednesdays, in addition to our standard student-led tours. No registration required to attend.

Interested in requesting a group tour? Please reach out to us at bell_gallery@brown.edu to see if it would be possible to schedule a session.
